Making the Leap: Transitioning from Clinic to Classroom

This course is for clinicians considering adjunct teaching or transitioning into academia full-time.  The course is designed to provide an overview of the academia practice setting; the faculty roles and responsibilities; and the credentialing requirements.  (Time Allocation- 1 Hour)

Strategies for Lesson Planning and Teaching

This course is for faculty of all levels in academia.  The course is designed to support the use of lesson planning to increase competence and confidence in the application of teaching techniques, classroom management, student engagement, and more.  The application of the accreditation standards using the practice frameworks and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) will be covered within the course.  The course will review Service Learning, Blended Learning, Small Teaching, Digital Tools, and Learning Management Systems. (Time Allocation- 1 Hour)

Designing Engaging Online Courses

This course is for faculty of all levels in academia.  This course is designed to introduce the Quality Matters approach for online course design and review.  Online course development strategies and techniques; online course facilitation approaches; and online course management tips. Navigation of Learning Management Systems (LMS); converting in-person course content to online content; and other technology to support teaching and learning in virtual environments. (Time Allocation- 1 Hour)

Strategies for Designing an Inclusive Course Syllabus

This course is for faculty of all levels in academia.  The course is designed to support course planning during the development of the syllabus.  The course focuses on the application of the practice framework when designing course objectives, selecting instructional materials, determining learning activities, developing and or selecting assessment measures; and the application of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) throughout the course development process.  (Time Allocation- 1 Hour)

Facilitating Equitable and Inclusive Online Meetings

This course is for faculty of all levels in academia.  This course is designed to help embed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within departmental meetings, student meetings, and telehealth events.
